Trivia:
- First album with James LaBrie on vocals.
- Videos were made for "Another Day" and edited versions of "Pull Me Under" and "Take the Time".
- The Italian statement in "Take the Time" (“Ora che ho perso la vista, ci vedo di più!”) is a quote from the Giuseppe Tornatore film Nuovo Cinema Paradiso (1988). The statement is very similar to the previous English one in the lyrics ("I can see much clearer now I'm blind"), but more literally it could be translated as: "Now that I've lost my sight, I see better/more".
- In the "special thanks" list, Dream Theater jokingly refer to Fates Warning as "Fatez Warning". That was a response to Fates Warning thanking Dream Theater as "Dream Theatre" in the booklet to their Parallels album. James LaBrie (who had just joined Dream Theater by that point) performed backing vocals on "Life in Still Water", the second track from Parallels.
