1st press were limited to 1000 copies, the album came in a plain white sleeve with no track listing and no title, therefore known as "The White Album". Each copy was signed by one member of the band, each member signs 250 copies.

Due to high demand, another pressing was ordered. A further 1000 copies were pressed, again in a plain white sleeve, but this time with a label on the vinyl with the Happy Face Records logo and a Diamond Head logo. Also the title "Lightning to the Nations" and track listing on the labels were printed. Some copies signed of all members of the band.

Sold at gigs and via an ad in Sounds magazine, for £3.50.
