Normally I wouldn’t appeal a beatdown hardcore band as I understand its a genre of hardcore, but I would like to see about Mercy Blow getting a second chance here as they have VERY prominent metal influence. I even know their guitarist isn’t personally a fan of hardcore, much more of a extreme metal fan and it really shows in his riffs. There’s a slew of similar beatdown bands to them on the site which got the pass for the VERY obvious metal influences, so I want to call for a second opinion for the same reason.

Listen to the first EP, it has slams everywhere on it that come more directly from brutal death metal than anything else. And the second EP has songs that are crafted by full on groove-oriented death metal riffs (sounds that way to me at least).

Yeah, I agree, this is about as metal as this BDM/beatdown stuff gets. Whitelisted.
